Vended Fresh Foods
Canteen’s creative approach to full-line vending focuses on our extensive menu of fresh food that that we prepare in our own kitchen. We also feature these Canteen exclusives:
- Restaurant brands – Blimpies® subs, Mamma Leone’s® pizzas and dinner entrees, Au Bon Pain® soups, and Tony Roma’s Rib sandwiches.
- Oversized “Deli” sandwiches including our tasty “Daily Deli” selections.
- Affordable luncheon sandwiches for customers looking for smaller portions.
Each week, our kitchen staff produce thousands of sandwiches and entrée items for our customers across Maine. We always welcome an opportunity to clients and potential clients for a tour of our Bangor kitchen. Canteen offers a great selection of delicious choices that our customers enjoy every day. |

Tasty Snacks, Healthful Foods, & Cold Beverages
Canteen complements our fresh foods with a wide array of choices like yogurt, bagels and muffins, carrot and celery sticks, regular and specialty milk selections like Nesquik. Many other items rotate into our menus. Canteen also carries a wide selection of familiar great tasting brand name pre-packaged foods to complement our fresh food slection. Great selection, quality fresh food, with valued pricing is our focus – 24 hours a day seven days a week – we guarantee it!

| SNACK VENDER SERVICES
Canteen’s “Balanced Choices” program dedicates specific slots in our Snack machines, offering products that are lower in fat and sodium and have fewer calories per serving. This program is designed to help our customers make sensible choices about what they eat. “Balanced Choices” snack foods in vending are pre-packaged foods which meet customer expectations for today’s concerned consumer.
A decal (enlarged here and can be seen on your vender) clearly explains the “Balanced Choices” program. Each product serving has:
- 250 calories or less
- 350 milligrams or less of sodium
- no trans fat
- 35% or less total fat
- 10% or less saturated fat.
Nuts and seeds are exempted from the total fat due to their fiber, vitamin E and better fats content. However, they still must meet the criteria for sodium and calories.
Finding good tasting, sensible snacks will be easier than ever by looking for the “Balanced Choices” icon in your snack machine. Canteen doesn’t just say we will carry these items for our customers. By dedicating space in our machines for these snacks, a sensible snack purchase is always an option.

| COLD BEVERAGE VENDER SERVICES
Canteen continues to expand the wide selection of Pepsi and Coke bottle beverage selections, especially in the non-carbonated category. Flavored waters, isotonic drinks, energy drinks, and vitamin waters are gaining market share. Canteen is responding by offering more shelf space for these selections offering popular products that customers prefer. In appropriate locations, we install glass-front bottle beverage venders that are equipped with elevators to serve unshaken beverages to customers. |

| FROZEN VENDER SERVICES
Canteen’s Frozen Food Vender truly offers a whole new spectrum of quality affordable entrées, snacks, and ice cream novelties. There are many new offerings in this category that are familiar and inviting to our customers, like:
- Michelina’s entrées and snacks (Swedish Meatballs, Shrimp w/
pasta, Spaghetti & Marinara, Lasagna &
Meat Sauce, Pizza Rolls and many others).
- Weight Watchers Smart Ones frozen entrées.
- Blue Bunny and Weight Watchers ice cream novelties.
Canteen continues to look for new selections and rotate them in to keep our frozen food offerings fresh and current. |
